Tickets for HUNI KUIN - KAYATIBU - ceremonial concert, drum circle & lecture.
Dear friends,
We warmly invite you to a truly special evening with the group Kayatibu from the Amazonian Huni Kuin tribe, taking place on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in Bratislava.
This is not a concert in the traditional sense - it’s an invitation to go inward 🌀, to reconnect with yourself, with community 🤝, and with nature 🌿. Here, song becomes a living prayer - Huni Meka in the Huni Kuin language.
The Huni Kuin people remind us of the power of simple joys - singing, dancing, and living in harmony with the wisdom of nature.
If the rhythm of ancestral songs moves you 🪘, you’re welcome to join in spontaneously - through dance 💃, shared drumming 🥁, or collective singing 🎤 - as we celebrate the closing days of summer together 🌅.
🌍 With us on this journey will be Karolína Draxlerová and Tereza Celbová, co-founders of the project Txana Tuin Nukui, a collaboration between Czech families and the Huni Kuin community from the Amazonian village of Chico Curumim, Brazil.
Their fascinating talk 🗣️ will take us right into the heart of the Amazon 🌿 - offering a glimpse into daily life in the jungle, as well as the pressing global issues 🌎 that Indigenous communities face in their efforts to preserve culture in a changing world.
The project’s vision is to nurture spiritual development ✨ and protect the living traditions 🪶 of the Huni Kuin through the creation of a spiritual center - a place of care, connection, and strength 💫 for their community and future generations 🌱.

🎤 ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
💢 KAYATIBU from the Huni Kuin tribe
Rita, Shane, and Bixku are members of Kayatibu, a musical collective from the Indigenous Huni Kuin tribe, based in the Brazilian Amazon. Their tribe has remarkably preserved its traditional culture, spiritual depth, and close connection with nature.
Together, Kayatibu members study and create music and art while sharing the wisdom of Amazonian life with the world. Their mission is to build bridges between ancestral knowledge and the modern world, creating space for mutual learning and new paths forward on Mother Earth.
Their creations are inspired by mythology, sacred legends, prayers, and traditional songs, which they transform into powerful works of art to preserve and celebrate the cultural wealth of the Huni Kuin people.
💢 SHANE SALES HUNI KUIN
Shane is a gifted singer from the village of Chico Curumim and the eldest son of the local chief. Since childhood, he has studied the sacred music and ancestral wisdom of his people.
He specializes in Huni Meka - sacred healing songs passed down for generations - considered a spiritual language of the forest. These songs are essential tools in traditional ceremonies, where their vibrations resonate with truth and deepen our connection to nature.
Shane also channels their meaning into paintings, bringing their symbolism to life on canvas. His powerful voice inspires both his own community and people worldwide.
💢 RITA SALES HUNI KUIN
Rita is an artist, activist, and mother dedicated to uplifting the role of women - both in modern society and within traditional communities. Through her artwork, words, and public talks, she brings to life the rich spiritual heritage of the Huni Kuin and helps to break down cultural stereotypes.
Her creative work is inspired by her people’s mythology, sacred legends, and traditional songs - reimagined as a way to preserve and share their living culture with the world.
💢 BIXKU SALES HUNI KUIN
Bixku is a talented artist and the third eldest son of the chief of Chico Curumim. He was raised in close connection with his tribe’s ancestral teachings - learning everything from the healing power of plants to sacred songs, rituals, and natural arts.
Like his older brother Shane, he’s a powerful singer. His voice carries the essence of Huni Meka, guiding us to reconnect more deeply with nature and ourselves.
His paintings reflect the stories of the jungle and the intergenerational wisdom of his people - inviting us to slow down, be present, and remember what truly matters.
